Operation Christmas Child

"Declare his glory among the nations!" - Psalm 96:3

Country & Town collects children's items throughout the year to give as part of Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan's Purse. There is a special collection focus each month, and in November the church gathers for a Packing Party to pack and prepare boxes to send to kids around the world.

OCC Announcements

Monthly Focus
This month, our collection focus is on stuffed animals, as well as play items like jump ropes, soccer balls (with small pumps), yo-yos, kazoos, harmonicas, drawstring backpacks, etc. Items must be able to fit inside a shoebox (11.5 x 6”) and can be dropped off in the bin in the church Concourse.

Note: We have been informed that soap has been added to OCC's "do not send" list due to customs issues in many countries. Consequently, we will not be including soap in our shoeboxes (soap previously received will be donated to New Hope Ministries, Bethesda Mission or some other local charity).

Save the Date
This year, our Packing Party will be on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Join us as we pack boxes with the items we've collected over the year so they can be sent to kids around the world!

Storage Space Needed
Storage space at church is at a premium (and the bonus room at home is filling fast), so if you have some spare space in your house to help store collected OCC items, please contact Fred Koppenheffer.
