Guidelines for Thanks-Giving

“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.”         - 1 Timothy 6:17

“Guidelines for Thanks-Giving” is a series about the life that is truly life from 2 Corinthians 8:1 through 9:15. Gospel living is generous living: “God so loved the world that he gave” (John 3:16). Generous living recognizes that all things—our gifts, our time, our resources—have come from God both for our enjoyment and as a means of blessing others. Generous living starts by giving ourselves first to the Lord.
