Building relationships is a big part of what the Women's Ministry aspires to do. We know that women crave fellowship and connection with other women. We also know that the deepest friendships develop when Christ is at the core. Simply put, the Women's Ministry desires to connect ladies with each other so that relationships can be built where God is honored and glorified.
We try to plan activities and events that promote fellowship, service, relationship building, encouragement, as well as personal spiritual growth. We welcome all ladies to come to any event or activity. We know that not every activity will appeal to every woman, so we are launching Interest Groups. These are groups that will connect women who have shared interests - whether it is golfing, cooking, photography or something totally different. We also understand the importance of bridging the generations and plan larger activities and events each year that we hope will appeal to ladies of all ages – such as Celebration of Women in the Spring, the Secret Sister program, Weekend Retreat, and others.
Salvation Army Giving Tree in December
During the Advent Season our Women's Ministry sponsors children in conjunction with the Salvation Army. The giving tree will have numbered tags listing a child's gender, size, and toy/clothing preference. New clothing and new toys are left unwrapped and are gathered in the church concourse at the Women's Ministry table by Sunday, December 6th.
